RebelGrove.com, the University of Mississippi team coverage site in the rivals.com network,  is one of the top 20 sites in terms of subscriptions in the Rivals.com network. Here is some info from publisher Neal McCready:
“RebelGrove.com is not run like a ‘fan site.’ In fact, as a former newspaper reporter, I try to hold the site to the standards I was held to during my career in ‘traditional media.’
“I joined Rivals.com in March 2008 after a nine-year stint at the Mobile Register. I covered Auburn as a beat writer for five years before I was promoted to investigative reporter/SEC reporter in 2003. Prior to moving to Mobile, I covered Auburn for the Birmingham Post-Herald. Also in Mobile, I hosted a daily afternoon sports talk radio show on WSNP for six years.”
RebelGrove.com averages a little more than 40,000 unique visitors, making it a Class D organization. The coverage team consists of McCready (lead football, lead basketball, columnist), Chase Parham (backup football, baseball) and Russell Johnson (college football recruiting). The site subscribes to AP Images and to USA Today Sports for photos, and typically employs an intern through the University of Mississippi.
In addition to daily coverage, the site hosts two podcasts. One is a daily podcast called the Oxford Exxon Podcast. It is downloaded, on average, 30,000 times per episode. McCready hosts a twice-weekly podcast called The Beer Garden that is an interview-based show. It is downloaded about 12,000 times per episode.
