BY HANK WINNICKI

The APSE Commissioners Meetings will be held Monday, May 6, and Tuesday, May 7, in New York.

What to know

Coordinator: Hank Winnicki

  • Office: 631-843-4832
  • Cell: 631-885-0223

Participation: Attendance at these meetings is limited to editors who are current members of the organization.

Please email hank.winnicki@newsday.com if you plan to attend some or all of the sessions or if you have any questions about the event.

We had a strong showing at last year’s meetings, and I’m hoping we can build on that trend.

On the record/off the record: The meetings are on the record, with a few exceptions.

  • Discussions about the industry and challenges we both face are the primary purpose of these meetings and those discussions have always been off the record. That remains true.
  • The subject can ask to go off the record at any point, like any interview.

Scheduling note: I’m leaving Tuesday afternoon open at the moment but might add more in the coming days.
