Comcast Sports Net New England seeks to join APSE. As you know, our bylaws require a vote of the executive committee to approve new website members. Thus, this note is a motion to approve Comcast New England for membership.
Region chairs, please make sure you vote on this motion. Voting is a fundamental responsibility of your post. Thanks in advance! If you have questions or concerns about this potential member, you can share them with the executive committee through this email chain.
Otherwise, please vote YES or NO and reply to Executive Director Jack Berninger by Oct. 9.

Comcast Sports Net New England's web site is eager to apply for membership in APSE. The site's sports editor is Art Martone, former sports editor of the Providence Journal and former member of APSE.
The site covers Boston pro sports with beat writers for each team. As sports editor of the Globe, I will tell you they've become competition. They're evolving but this is a site that's a true sports news source, practicing sports journalism as any ASPE member organization does.
