Hello, APSE members:
It is necessary to slightly raise membership dues for 2026 in a continuing effort to ensure the organization’s financial stability.
Raise would increase by $10 across all membership categories except for a student membership, which would remain $25.
Membership tiers would remain the same as they were in 2025.
This article starts the clock on a 10-day review and comment period for the general membership, which is required by our bylaws. The executive committee will start voting on this proposal on Thursday, Sept. 25, in hopes of beginning our annual membership drive shortly after. According to APSE bylaws, dues must be paid by Oct. 15.

Division A
- Legacy newsrooms with total digital + print circulation of 60,000 and over
- Websites with more than 2 million unique monthly visitors
- Wire service individuals
First member: $350 $360
Each additional member: $95 $105
Division B
- Legacy newsrooms with total digital + print circulation of 25,000-59,999
- Websites with 750,001 to 2 million unique monthly visitors
First member: $275 $285
Each additional member: $85 $95
Division C
- Legacy newsrooms with total digital + print circulation of 10,000-24,999
- Websites with 250,000 to 750,000 unique monthly visitors
- Newsletters, including Substacks
First member: $200 $210
Each additional member: $75 $85
Division D
- Legacy newsrooms with total digital + print circulation under 10,000
- Websites with less than 250,000 unique monthly visitors
First member: $125 $135
Each additional member: $60 $70
