Deporte Awe, an international, multilingual sports website, has applied for Associated Press Sports Editors membership.
Deporte Awe is an independent digital sports news outlet founded in 2011 covering Curaçao and Caribbean athletes, teams and sporting events at the local, regional and international levels. It publishes original sports coverage in Papiamentu, English, Spanish and Dutch, with a focus on soccer, baseball, boxing, athletics and other sports.
Deporte Awe averages approximately 3,500 to 5,000 unique visitors per month, with readers in Curaçao, the Caribbean, the United States and other international markets.
The organization wants to join APSE to become more involved in the U.S. sports journalism community, build relationships with other sports media organizations and learn from our peers across the industry. It values APSE’s commitment to strong professional standards and excellence in sports journalism and believe membership would help Deporte Awe continue to develop as a news organization.
