The Richmond Times-Dispatch is looking for an experienced sports editor to lead the team of 7-full time writers, a copy editing and design staff, as well as four part-time sports producers and a stable of freelance writers, that cover Virginia sports from community athletics to the high school to college and professional ranks. The successful candidate must be committed to leading the RTD sports department in breaking news, enterprise work, as well as furthering our mission to being indispensable for our readership, which spans beyond the greater Richmond area. There must also be a commitment to growing our digital footprint, by reaching new audience, while continuing to serve our current readers, whether it is print or digital.
