The Post-Star of Glens Falls, N.Y. is looking for a solid all-around journalist to join our award-winning sports staff. We cover a broad range of sports, including 35 high schools, a minor-league hockey team, a summer college baseball team, horse racing at Saratoga and a state basketball tournament. We prefer journalists with daily newspaper/website experience, but will consider an exceptional entry-level candidate. Multimedia skills are a must.
This position may take many forms, depending on the candidates we get. It could be someone mainly involved with high school sports coverage and/or coverage of our hockey team. It may be a copy editor who helps produce our section five days a week. No matter which direction we go, this person will need to be a team player who’s willing to get involved in every aspect of our operation.
