  • Theo DeRosa left his sports editor role at The Commercial Dispatch in Columbus, Mississippi. 
  • Travis Devlin moved from sports reporter to news editor at the Lake Geneva (Wisconsin) Regional News.
  • LaMarr Fields joined The Union in Grass Valley, California, as a sports writer. 
  • Dexter Fowler accepted a Cubs analyst role with Marquee Sports Network.
  • Mac Friday announced his new role as sports editor at the Yuma (Arizona) Sun. 
  • Brandon Gaudin became the Atlanta Braves’ TV play-by-play broadcaster. 
  • Reid Glenn joined the St. Cloud (Minnesota) Times as a sports reporter. 
  • Brooke Grimsley joined WXOS-FM 101.1 in St. Louis as a sports broadcaster. She was previously with KMOV-TV in St. Louis. 
  • Andrew Hammond became the sports editor at AL.com. 
  • Kris Henry took the sports editor role at the Rogue Valley Tribune in Medford, Oregon. 
  • Adam Hensley left Gannett and the Des Moines (Iowa) Register, where his role included sports writing and producing. 
  • Danny LoGiudice departed his sports reporter role at The Asbury Park Press in New Jersey.
  • Jason Mastrodonato became a sports enterprise/general assignment reporter for the San Jose (California) Mercury News. He was previously with the Boston Herald. 
  • Michael McCleary joined the Wisconsin State Journal to cover the Wisconsin Badgers. He was previously with the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 
  • Murray McCormick retired as a sports writer at the Regina Leader-Post in Toronto, Ontario. 
  • Ryan McFadden left his role covering the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun.
  • Wilson Moore started covering Nebraska athletics for the Lincoln (Nebraska) Journal Star. 
  • Brian Peterson took the sports editor role at The Clermont Sun in Williamsburg, Ohio. 
  • Andrew Ringgold became sports editor of the Prairie du Chien (Wisconsin) Courier Press. 
  • Bryant Roche joined the Greensboro (North Carolina) News & Record and Winston-Salem (North Carolina) Journal as a high school sports reporter.

  • Jared Rubado took the sports editor role at The Bemidji (Minnesota) Pioneer. He was previously with the Detroit Lakes (Minnesota) Tribune. 
  • Megan Ryan changed roles at the Minneapolis Star Tribune from Twins reporter to business editor. 
  • Jacob Shames joined the Tennessean in Nashville as a high school sports reporter. He was previously with the Montgomery (Alabama) Advertiser. 
  • Kevin Sieff moved to an international investigative sports reporter role at The Washington Post.
  • Kyle Sielaff was announced as the Miami Marlins new radio play-by-play broadcaster. 
  • Kent Somers retired as a sports columnist at the Arizona Republic. 
  • Damien Sordelett left his role covering Liberty for the Lynchburg (Virginia) News & Advance. 
  • Jackson Stone joined MLB.com as a reporter/producer in Kansas City. He was previously a sports reporter at The Quad-City Times/Rock Island (Illinois) Dispatch Argus.
  • Aaron Suttles left his sports reporter role at The Athletic to begin working for Yea Alabama. 
  • Noah Taylor was named managing editor of the Rivals’ Vols Report site. 
  • David Thompson left his role covering Duke and NC State for the USA TODAY Network. 
  • Matt Verderame departed from his position covering the NFL for FanSided. 
  • Renee Washington joined WPVI-TV in Philadelphia as a sports reporter and anchor. 
  • Mark Wiedmer retired from his sports writer role at the Chattanooga (Tennessee) Times Free Press.  
  • The Athletic added Alex Davies to oversee Formula 1 coverage. Madeline Coleman and Luke Smith joined as writers covering Formula 1. 
  • Bally Sports Detroit added Cameron Maybin and Todd Jones as Tigers analysts. Jack Morris is not returning as an analyst in 2023. 
  • The Courier Journal (Louisville, Kentucky) moved Brooks Holton to cover Louisville Cardinals athletics. Brett Dawson left his role covering the Louisville Cardinals, and J.L. Kirven left his sports reporter role. 
  • Sports Illustrated added Gilberto Manzano to cover the NFL.
