The Seattle Times seeks a reporter to cover the Mariners and Major League Baseball on multiple platforms and set the agenda for discussion and news on one of our most high-profile and competitive beats.

Applicants should have at least three years of reporting experience, preferably covering a major beat. Must have good overall sports knowledge, with expertise in baseball essential, preferably covering Major League Baseball. Must be able to find interesting angles from games on deadline, cover breaking news, and also write profiles and enterprise on the Mariners and MLB. Must be able to thrive on multiple platforms, including blogs, Twitter and other social media, as well as video, podcasts and live chats.
