An Executive Committee vote is needed on the site for the the 2015 Winter Meetings. This information must be posted on the APSE website for 10 days before a vote is taken.
Today is the first day of the posting. Voting will begin March 15 and end March 20.
A contract offer from the DoubleTree Suites in Lake Buena Vista is on the table. This is the same hotel that was used for this year's Winter Meetings, but it will have undergone a multi-million dollar renovation by 2015.
The offered rate, and they will go no lower, and additional concessions are:
Room rate — $148
Free self parking for all
Free internet for all
One free breakfast coupon per person
One free drink coupon per person
No meeting room charge
No resort fee
All rooms are suites.
The officers recommend a yes vote.
