Judges recently determined a top 10 for the 2022 Associated Press Sports Editors Student Contest. 

Students submitted three pieces of work as a portfolio. The winner will be announced in the coming weeks.

The judges for the 2022 APSE Student contest were Greg Bowers (former journalism professor), Mikkel Christensen (Georgia College journalism professor), Nick Feely (The Villages Daily Sun), Amy Friedenberger (former journalist), Joe Gisondi (Eastern Illinois University journalism professor), Erik Hall (USA Today Network), Rachel Lenzi (The Buffalo News), Nina Pantic (freelance journalist), Iliana Limón Romero (Los Angeles Times), Dillon Thompson (Yahoo), and Marcus Vanderberg (ESPN). 

Entries came from undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at a college or university during summer 2021, fall 2021 or spring 2022 academic terms. Work came from the period of April 10, 2021, through April 9, 2022.
