  • Jim Benson retired after 42 years as a sports writer at The Pantagraph in Bloomington, Illinois. 
  • Collin Brennan took a podcast producer role with Yahoo Sports. He was previously with USA TODAY. 
  • Dominic Burns received a promotion to sports editor at The Globe in Worthington, Minnesota. He takes over for Doug Wolter, who retired. 
  • Liz Clarke announced her retirement as a sports reporter at The Washington Post. 
  • Taylor Cramer joined The Glenwood Springs (Colorado) Post Independent as a sports reporter. 
  • Kelsey Dallas became the assistant managing editor overseeing sports and religion coverage at the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah. 
  • John Garrett announced his retirement as a TV analyst for the Vancouver Canucks. 
  • Kyle Goon left his role covering the Los Angeles Lakers for the Southern California News Group.
  • Thomas Grant Jr. departed from his role as sports editor at the Lexington (South Carolina) County Chronicle. 
  • Blaine Keller became sports editor for Main Street Sports in Tennessee’s Sumner County. 
  • Christina Long announced that she joined The Greenville (South Carolina) News to cover Clemson. She was previously with the Southwest Times Record in Fort Smith, Arkansas. 
  • Selby Lopez took the online sports editor role at the Dallas Morning News.
  • Al McCoy announced his retirement as Phoenix Suns broadcaster after 51 seasons. 
  • Meredith Perri received a promotion to managing producer/sports at MassLive. 
  • Gary Phillips became the Yankees beat reporter for the New York Daily News. 
  • Liam Rooney joined the Tallahassee (Florida) Democrat as a sports reporter. 
  • Steve Rosenberg parted ways with Diamond Sports, where he was president. 
  • Tamar Sher joined KMOV-TV in St. Louis as a sports anchor/reporter. She was previously with WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana. 
  • Sammi Silber started covering the Washington Capitals for The Hockey News. 
  • Sam Stejskal left The Athletic, where he covered soccer. 
  • Pat Tabler joined Bally Sports Great Lakes as an analyst for Cleveland Guardians games. 
  • Pete Tobey became the managing editor at Hometown News in Florida. He was previously a high school sports reporter at The Post-Star in Glens Falls, New York.
  • Chris Tomasson joined the Denver Gazette to cover the Broncos. He was previously with the St. Paul (Minnesota) Pioneer Press. 
  • Pablo Torre took a new role at Meadowlark Media. He was previously with ESPN. 
  • Jim Trotter said his contract was not renewed with NFL.com, where he was a columnist. 
  • Joe Tuscano retired as assistant sports editor at the Observer-Reporter in Washington, Pennsylvania. 
  • Stan Van Gundy joined CBS and Turner Sports as a broadcaster for the men’s basketball 2023 NCAA Tournament. 
  • Devin Voss left his sports reporter role at the Reporter-Times in Martinsville, Indiana. 
  • Bally Sports Kansas City added Jeremy Guthrie and Mike Sweeney as Kansas City Royals analysts. Both will also be involved in radio broadcasts. 
  • Bally Sports South parted ways with Atlanta Braves analysts Paul Byrd and Brian Jordan. Tom Glavine returned as an analyst after taking off the 2022 season. 
  • The Dallas Morning News named Selby Lopez online sports editor and Demetrio Teniente IV assistant online sports editor. 
  • The Kansas City Royals added Jeremy Guthrie and Mike Sweeney as TV and radio broadcasters. 
  • MLB.com added Derrian Carter as a reporter/producer. Theo DeRosa joined MLB as a writer/researcher. Skyler Rivera joined MLB as a reporter/producer. 
  • Sports Illustrated added Matt Verderame as a NFL staff writer. Ryan Hunt departed his role as co-editor-in-chief at Sports Illustrated. 
  • USA TODAY Network moved Tommy Deas to the director, content strategy/sports strategist for the Center for Community Journalism and moved Dan Spears to deputy sports strategist for the Center for Community Journalism.
