- All Fields is a weekly newsletter covering the many-tentacled beast that is the modern sports world. I’ll just as soon write about doping in tennis as college football realignment, always with a lens on the thinkpiece-worthy analysis that goes a layer deeper than the ticker coverage.
- As far as reach, All Fields would be firmly in Category D. We’re talking about a very modest ~300 subscribers and ~2K monthly unique visitors, having started from scratch with no marketing budget about a year ago. Our audio docuseries The Option also accrued ~2K listeners, but safe to say: I’m far more proud of the work than I am the numbers.
- First and foremost, I’d like to join the APSE out of a fierce belief in sportswriting. I don’t believe it’s a lost art, but I might call it endangered. I’ve been fortunate to find a small community of like-minded writers in my work to date, but I’m looking to expand that network by joining an organization that believes in what I do as a worthy pursuit. I can think of few better reasons to do much of anything.
