APSE Conference: Award-winning panel to discuss column writing in the digital age

We've got a jam-packed schedule of professional development and hands-on learning set for the 2015 APSE Conference in San Diego starting Wednesday at the Westgate Hotel. Among the highlights: three of the nation's top columnists -- including the 2015 Red Smith Award winner -- will discuss "Writing columns in the digital age" on a panel led by an award-winning sports editor searching for the next great sports voice of the Northwest. The 13 respondents vary in how much they’ve covered horse racing previously, ranging from decades to covering a race for the first time, and encompass reporters who captured the immediacy of the news, those who wrote longer features and columnists.
