Associated Press Sports Editors is accepting nominations for two national officer positions: second vice president and third vice president.
Second vice president
Second vice president serves a three-year term as a national officer and is on the executive committee. Second vice president duties include running the APSE website and coordinating social media platforms. The following year, as first vice president, this person will run APSE contests. In the third year, this person will serve as APSE president.
Any Executive Committee member may nominate a candidate for second vice president by 11:59 p.m. on March 15, which is Sunday.
If you are interested in this position, want to know more about it or want to nominate someone, please email APSE president Paul Barrett at apsepresident@gmail.com.
One requirement of being an APSE national officer is in-person attendance at our winter and summer conferences (attending the commissioners meetings is also encouraged).
Third vice president
The third vice president is elected for a two-year term in even-numbered years by representatives of APSE’s smaller member organizations (Category C and D members in the contest).
Nominations for third vice president may be made by any member from a small-circulation organization by presenting the nomination via voice or in writing by 11:59 p.m. on March 15.
