The Associated Press Sports Editors Career Advancement committee will host its annual How To Land An Internship virtual session at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The session is open to college students regardless of APSE membership.
Leon Carter, editor at large at The Athletic, and Naila Meyers, deputy sports editor at the Minnesota Star Tribune, will answer questions on getting an internship and making the most of the experience. The Athletic’s Lisa Wilson, who chairs the Career Advancement committee, will moderate the session.
APSE members are encouraged to attend, especially outlets that will offer internships in 2026. This is an opportunity to meet prospective students and offer advice on the application process. The committee will compile a list of internships to share with the students. Please send information about your internships to Lisa Wilson at lisabellwilson46@gmail.com.
