Picket Fence Media has been accepted as a member of APSE in a vote by the executive committee.
It is a group of three newspapers and websites, the weekly San Clemente Times and Dana Point Times and bi-weekly The Capistrano Dispatch. Its coverage is focused on hyperlocal journalism for three cities in South Orange County, California. Sports editor Zach Cavanagh covers the area’s high schools, water sports, outdoor events and high-profile hometown athletes.
Picket Fence Media has a total circulation of 40,000 across the three publications, with more than 116,000 total unique visitors each month. Each publication also produces a daily newsletter with more than 8,000 subscribers. On social media, the three publications have a combined 60,000 followers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
