  • Lucas Aulbach received a promotion to the Louisville men’s basketball beat at the Louisville (Kentucky) Courier Journal. 
  • Joe Bissen joined the Star Tribune in Minneapolis as a copy editor. He was previously a sports copy editor at the Pioneer Press in St. Paul, Minn. 
  • Christopher Boan announced he joined the East Valley Tribune in Arizona as a staff writer. He previously covered sports and music at the Tucson (Arizona) Weekly. 
  • Vincent Bonsignore took the Raiders beat with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He previously covered the Rams for The Athletic. 
  • Christian Clark joined The New Orleans Advocate to cover the Pelicans. 
  • Don Cogger became the sports editor of the Uinta County (Wyoming) Herald. 
  • Kenny DeJohn announced he went from covering high school sports for Newsday to digital content editor at U.S. Lacrosse Magazine.  
  • David Driver accepted the sports editor position at the Daily News-Record in Harrisonburg, Va. 
  • James Ellingworth announced he took a sports reporting job with The Associated Press based in Dusseldorf, Germany. 
  • Thomas Lott announced his layoff from Stats Perform.
  • Alexis Mansanarez accepted the role of associated editor and feature writer at The Draft Network. 
  • Maria McIlwain became a sports copy editor at the Houston Chronicle. She was previously a sports writer at The Eagle in Bryan, Texas. 
  • Sabreena Merchant joined Sports Illustrated to cover the Los Angeles Clippers. She previously worked for SB Nation. 
  • Naila-Jean Meyers announced her new role as senior assistant sports editor at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. She departs being the New York Times sports senior editor for quality and planning. 
  • Rashad Milligan joined the Clarion Ledger in Jackson, Miss., as sports trending reporter and planner. He was previously sports editor at The Valley (Alabama) Times-News. 
  • Josh Newman took the University of Utah sports beat at the Salt Lake Tribune. He was previously with the Asbury Park Press in Neptune, N.J. 
  • Glendon Poe was named sports editor of the Times-Journal in Fort Payne, Alabama. 
  • Murray Poole retired from covering Georgia sports. He most recently wrote for Bulldawg Illustrated. 
  • Scott Powers took a job on the copy desk at ESPN.  
  • EJ Smith announced he moved to covering pro sports full-time for the Philadelphia Inquirer. 
  • Seth Tow accepted a sports reporter role at The Star Democrat in Easton, Md. 
  • Isaac Trotter took a sports reporter position with the Post-Bulletin in Rochester, Minn. 
  • Jadyn Watson-Fisher joined the Greeley (Colorado) Tribune as a sports data journalist. 
  • Maggie Vanoni accepted the UCLA sports beat with the Orange County Register. 
  • Matthew VanTryon became a high school sports reporter for the Indianapolis Star. 
  • The Athletic hired Alex Coffey to cover the Oakland Athletics and put Brendan Marks on the UNC/Duke basketball beat. Shandel Richardson announced his departure from covering the Miami Heat for The Athletic. 
  • The Charlotte News & Observer gave Andrew Carter a role as a sports enterprise reporter. Brendan Marks announced his departure as a sports reporter. 
  • The Los Angeles Times moved Angel Rodriguez from the sports editor to lead the news desk. Mike Hiserman became acting sports editor. 
  • The Oklahoman saw Jeff Patterson become sports editor. Ryan Sharp went from sports editor to news director at The Oklahoman. 
  • The Washington Post added Robert Klemko as an investigative reporter and Joe Tone as sports investigations and enterprise editor. Klemko previously worked at Sports Illustrated.
