  • Alexandria Alejandro joined the Houston Chronicle as sports web producer.
  • Josh Barnett became sports editor at The Buffalo (New York) News. He was previously with USA Today.
  • Ryan Black accepted the sports editor and Kansas State beat writer position at the Manhattan (Kansas) Mercury News.
  • John Brennan announced he was leaving The Record in Middletown, N.Y. He’d been at the Record since 1983.
  • Ron Dungan, an outdoors writer, was laid off by the Arizona Republic.
  • Wayne Epps Jr. joined the Richmond (Virginia) Times-Dispatch as VCU beat writer.
  • Jeff Evans stepped down from his writer position at The Californian due to health issues.
  • Zach Ewing accepted the night sports editor position at The Advocate in Baton Rouge, La. He had been sports editor at The Californian in Bakersfield, Calif.
  • Justin Giles revealed the end of his tenure covering sports for The Spectrum in Saint George, Utah.
  • Mike Graham announced his retirement from the TC Palm after 41 years in sports media.
  • Annette Griffus was laid off as a sports reporter at the Kitsap (Washington) Sun.
  • Sam Grubenhoff joined the Northwest Florida Daily News to cover high school sports in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
  • Baxter Holmes moved to ESPN national NBA writer after previously covering the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Marisa Ingemi revealed that she will cover the NWHL for ESPNW.
  • Dieter Kurtenbach accepted a columnist position with the Bay Area News Group.
  • Eden Laase took a position with the Daily Mining Gazette in Houghton, Mich., and she will cover Michigan Tech hockey.
  • Jake Lourim joined the Louisville (Kentucky) Courier-Journal to cover Louisville football.
  • Erik Malinowski said his tenure has ended as Golden State Warriors reporter for Bleacher Report.
  • Gina Mizell joined The Denver Post to cover the Nuggets after previously working at The Oregonian.
  • Meghan Montemurro announced her position was eliminated at The News Journal in Delaware. She covered the Philadelphia Phillies.
  • Nora Princiotti joined The Boston Globe as a New England Patriots writer.
  • Andrew Ramspacher announced he is joining The State to cover South Carolina. He was previously with The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Virginia, as University of Virginia reporter.
  • Chris Rotolo left the Asbury Park Press sports department and moved to marketing.
  • Paul Suellentrop moved to work for Wichita State after working at The (Wichita, Kansas) Eagle.
  • Josh Tolentino joined the Daily Chronicle in DeKalb, Illinois, as a news and sports reporter.
  • Ken Schott announced that he was leaving his position as writer at the Daily Gazette in Schenectady, New York.
  • Andy Simmons revealed his position was eliminated at the Tennessean.
  • Justin Spears took the position of online sports producer with the Arizona Daily Star. He was previously with Pac-12 DieHards.
  • Ed Werder announced he will do some sideline reporting for Westwood One. He was previously with ESPN.
  • Mike Wilson became the Tennessee beat writer for the Knoxville (Tennessee) News Sentinel.
  • Luke Winn announced his departure from Sports Illustrated after 15 years. He became the Toronto Raptors’ Director of Prospect Strategy.
  • Doyle Woody said he stepped down as a writer for the Alaska Dispatch News after 34 years in journalism.
  • Greg Wyshynski revealed his departure from Yahoo’s Puck Daddy.
  • The Athletic in Chicago added Darnell Mayberry to cover the Bulls. The Athletic in Detroit added Chris Burke, formerly of Sports Illustrated, to cover the Lions. The Athletic in Philadelphia brought in Pete Sweigard as managing editor. The Athletic in Pittsburgh added Jesse Marshall to its staff. The Athletic in San Francisco added Vic Tafur to cover the Raiders. The Athletic added Peter Gammons as a contributing writer, and it added Don Banks to cover the NFL. Pierre LeBrun will cover hockey for The Athletic, and Corey Pronman will cover NHL prospects. The Athletic’s Fieldhouse site added Ken Pomeroy as analytics editor.
  • CBS Sports added Pete Blackburn, Mike Casazza, and Adi Joseph. Casazza will cover West Virginia. Joseph will be deputy managing editor.
  • The Kansas City Star announced the additions of Aaron Reiss and Alex Schiffer as Missouri beat writers. Tod Palmer left the Missouri beat to become suburbans editor.
