10 a.m. Welcome and announcements — John Bednarowski, SE Region Chairman

10:20 a.m. The Athens Banner Herald allows University of Georgia football fans to get ready for kickoff with the latest Bulldogs news and features along with photos and video of players and coaches with its Game Day app. Chris White of the ABH will tell us how they constructed it and how it has been received.

11 a.m. Evan Woodbery of Knoxville News Sentinel will talk about building a 20-year recruiting data base, how it was constructed, why and what he learned.

11:30 a.m. Tim Stephens/Oscar Dixon update on APSE and AP, whether AP would get an unelected permanent member on the APSE Executive Committee

11:45 a.m. Lunch

1 p.m. Mike Slive, SEC commissioner

2:30 p.m. Advance Publications — How have changes to 3 days a week affected the paper and online readership. What have been the challenges both sides have had to overcome — Izzy Gould and Tom Arenberg, Birmingham News and Doug Tatum, Times-Picayune (Tentative)

3:15 p.m. Job Fair ­ Students from across the Southeast have been
invited to meet sports editors and have resumes critiqued. Schools invited include Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, UAB, Mississippi State, and Troy, Birmingham-Southern, Jacksonville State and others.
This will be a good opportunity to perhaps get some recruiting done and also to maybe sign up some student members.
