The Watchdog Journalism workshop on Thursday will have two special guests on the panel talking about their work from the past year.

Jodi Upton is the Data Base Editor for USA Today. She has been involved in numerous projects, including several on college football and basketball salaries and coaches contracts.

Rachel George is a high school reporter for the Star News in Wilmington, N.C. Her investigative reporting on a high school sports facility led to the building’s condemnation, disrupting athletic programs and resulting in the eventual appropriation of funds to renovate the field house. She won first place in APSE investigative reporting for her work.

The sessions are scheduled for 2:15-3:30 and 3:45-5 p.m.

If you are planning to attend either session it might be helpful to read some of their work in advance.
