  • Will Backus took the sports editorial assistant position with the Knoxville (Tennessee) News Sentinel. 
  • Elena Bergeron joined the New York Times as assistant sports editor. 
  • Jordan Bishop moved from sports reporter to assistant news editor at the Stillwater (Oklahoma) News Press. 
  • John Bohnenkamp revealed his layoff as a sports reporter at The Hawk Eye in Burlington, Iowa. 
  • Chris Bumbaca joined USA Today as a trending sports reporter. 
  • Shelton Burch resigned as sports editor at the Dodge City (Kansas) Daily Globe to pursue a job outside of journalism. 
  • Trenton Daeschner announced he joined the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette to cover sports.
  • Sean Deveney left his position as an NBA reporter at The Sporting News. 
  • Wesley Dotson took a sports reporter position at the Index-Journal in Greenwood, South Carolina.
  • Tyler Dragon joined the Cincinnati Enquirer to cover the Bengals. 
  • Francis Ellis and Barstool Sports parted ways. 
  • Harrison Epstein accepted a sports reporter position with the Douglas (Wyoming) Budget. 
  • Tom Firme became sports editor of The Poteau (Oklahoma) Daily News. 
  • Mike Griffith retired, ending his 42-year career covering sports for The Bakersfield Californian. 
  • Michael Guise left the Idaho State Journal as sports reporter to become a digital web producer for KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh. 
  • DeAngelo Hall took an analyst position with NFL Network. 
  • Elton Hayes moved to CNHI to cover Penn State athletics. He was previously at the Meridian (Mississippi) Star. 
  • Drew Hill moved to covering Memphis basketball for The Daily Memphian. 
  • Garrick Hodge joined the Columbus (Mississippi) Dispatch as sports editor/Mississippi State reporter. 
  • Monica Holland received a promotion to sports editor at the Fayetteville (North Carolina) Observer. 
  • Ashley Hufford accepted a position with Yahoo Sports Canada as senior producer of video and podcast. She was previously with Bleacher Reporter. 
  • Kevin Kenney took over as sports editor of the South Pasadena (California) Review. 
  • Kevin Kietzman and Sports Radio 810 in Kansas City parted ways, according to Awful Announcing.  
  • Nolan King joined MMA Junkie as a reporter. 
  • Bryant Lilley announced he left the Lenoir (North Carolina) News-Topic as a sports reporter to work for a lacrosse apparel company. 
  • Allan Maki announced his retirement as sports reporter from The Globe and Mail in Toronto, Ontario. 
  • Justin Martinez joined the Las Cruces (New Mexico) Sun-News to cover New Mexico State men’s basketball and high school sports. 
  • Nicholas Reid Maus left his sports editor position at The Times Bulletin in Van Wert, Ohio. 
  • Rick McCann saw his sports editor position eliminated at the Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, West Virginia. 
  • Bret McCormick accepted a general assignment reporter position with Sports Business Journal. 
  • Alex McDaniel joined SB Nation as a deputy editor. 
  • John McGonigal moved from covering Penn State for the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pennsylvania, to covering Pitt for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. 
  • Mike Miller left the Bloomington (Indiana) Herald-Times as a sports reporter. 
  • Vin Mercogliano moved to the Asbury Park Press as New York Rangers analyst. 
  • John Molinaro tweeted that he was laid off by Sportsnet. 
  • Ron Moshier retired as sports editor of the Utica (New York) Observer-Dispatch. 
  • Connor Morrissette joined Scorebook Live to cover high school sports. He was previously with SoCal Prep Insider. 
  • Jeff Neiburg took a sports enterprise reporter role with the Delaware News Journal. 
  • Marc Nesseler announced the end of his tenure covering sports at the Dispatch-Argus in East Moline, Illinois. 
  • Michael Sanserino joined The Athletic Pittsburgh as managing editor. 
  • Chris Schad announced his resignation as sports editor at the Dodge County Independent in Kasson, Minnesota. 
  • Scott Sewell was named assistant sports editor at the Sumter (South Carolina) Item. 
  • Kelli Stacy announced her departure from the Hartford (Connecticut) Courant as a sports reporter. 
  • Ben Standig joined The Athletic to cover the NBA and NFL in Washington, D.C. 
  • Danielle Stein moved to CBS 19 in Charlottesville, Virginia, as a sports reporter. 
  • Dana Sulonen left her role as deputy sports editor at the Detroit Free Press. 
  • Bryan Toporek accepted a role with Forbes covering the Philadelphia 76ers and the salary cap. 
  • Hayden Tucker departed from the Yukon (Oklahoma) Review. He took on the sports editor role at the Jenks (Oklahoma) Tribune. 
  • Terrin Waack joined NASCAR as senior coordinator, digital editorial. She was previously with the Tuscaloosa (Alabama) News. 
  • Eric Walker moved from sports editor to news editor at the Mayfield (Kentucky) Messenger. 
  • Kristian Winfield joined the New York Daily News as senior NBA journalist. He was previously with SB Nation. 
  • Chris Zadorozny announced his departure as assistant sports editor at the Holland (Michigan) Sentinel for a communications job. 
  • Brad Zimanek left his position as sports editor at the Montgomery Advertiser to become a pastor. 
  • The Athletic Boxing added Rafe Bartholomew, Mike Coppinger, and Lance Pugmire as reporters. 
  • The Athletic Business hired Kavitha A. Davidson, Alicia Jessop, Daniel Kaplan, Diamond Leung, Bill Shea, Wendy Thurm and Daniel Wallach 
  • The Athletic MMA brought on Chad Dundas, Ben Fowlkes, Josh Gross, Chuck Mindenhall, Fernanda Prates and Dann Stupp as reporters. Griffin Adams joined The Athletic MMA as an editor.
  • The Charlotte Observer saw Brendan Marks start covering the Carolina Panthers after Jourdan Rodrigue left her position as Carolina Panthers beat reporter. 
  • ESPN added Bill Connelly, previously of SB Nation, to cover college football. Kelly Cohen joined ESPN as a general assignment reporter. Brian Macdonald joined ESPN as director of sports analytics. Marcel Louis-Jacques, previously the Carolina Panthers reporter for the Charlotte Observer, joined ESPN as its Buffalo Bills reporter. Louis-Jacques replaces Mike Rodak. Bob Ley retired after 40 years with ESPN. Kara Lawson left ESPN to join the Boston Celtics. 
  • The New York Post added Mollie Walker as a sports general assignment reporter and Nick Piastowski became a sports editor. 
  • The Orlando Sentinel added Julia Poe as MLS and NWSL beat reporter and moved Roy Parry to Orlando Magic beat reporter. 
  • The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette put Joshua Axelrod in a digital sports producer role and Sarah Spencer on the Penn State football beat. Dave Molinari left the Post-Gazette as Penguins writer to cover the Penguins for DK Pittsburgh Sports.
