  • Andrew Abadie took an assistant sports editor position at the Times-Republican in Marshalltown, Iowa. 
  • Zach Abolverdi joined the Lake City (Florida) Reporter to cover University of Florida sports and high school sports. 
  • Mark Birdsall became sports editor of the Huron Daily Tribune in Bad Axe, Mich. 
  • Jon Blau moved to the Indiana sports beat at the Bloomington (Indiana) Herald-Times. He previously covered high schools. 
  • Michael Bohlin announced his departure from 247Sports covering the NBA. 
  • Tony Boone departed from the Omaha (Nebraska) World-Herald as a sports reporter. 
  • Adam Burns took the position of sports editor for The Courier Tribune in Liberty, Mo. 
  • Matt Case joined The Meridian (Mississippi) Star as a sports reporter. 
  • Jackson Cowart announced he joined The Score as sports betting writer. 
  • Jon Dykstra accepted the sports editor position at the Opelika-Auburn News in Opelika, Ga. He was previously at The Maryville (Missouri) Forum. 
  • Carter Eckl took the sports director position at the Sierra Nevada Media Group in Carson City, Nev. 
  • Bryan Everson joined the Marshfield (Missouri) Mail as a sports reporter. 
  • Adam Feiner became a sports editor for Unified Newspaper Group in southern Wisconsin. He was previously with Sauk Valley Media. 
  • Aaron Ferguson became the site expert for FanSided’s PistonPowered website.
  • Shane Frederick took the sports editor position at the Mankato (Minnesota) Free Press.  
  • Colin Gay joined Hometownlife in Michigan to cover high school sports. 
  • Dekota Gregory joined the Tulsa World as a sports reporter. 
  • Cameron Goeldner became a sports reporter at the Valencia County (New Mexico) News-Bulletin. 
  • Ethan Hanson took a sports reporter position with Redding (Pennsylvania) Record Searchlight. 
  • Garrick Hodge accepted the sports editor/columnist role at The Commercial Dispatch in Columbus, Miss. He was previously at The Columbia (Missouri) Daily Tribune. 
  • Trevor Horn left his position covering high school sports for The Bakersfield Californian. He took the sports information director position at the Garces Memorial High School. 
  • Luke Johnson joined The Advertiser in Lafayette, La., to cover the New Orleans Saints. 
  • Amie Just became a New Orleans Saints reporter for The Times-Picayune/Advocate. 
  • Ryan Kartje took a position with the Los Angeles Times covering USC. Kartje was previously with the OC Register. Brady McCollough moved from covering USC to being a sports enterprise reporter for the LA Times. 
  • David Kim joined the Louisville Courier Journal as a high school sports reporter. 
  • Tim Layden announced he was leaving Sports Illustrated after 25 years. 
  • Juwon Lee became sports editor of the Palestine (Texas) Herald-Press.
  • Rich Loretoni retired as a sports page designer with Newsday Sports. 
  • Graham MacAree accepted the role of interim editor-in-chief of SB Nation. 
  • Tyler Mansfield joined the News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown, Ky., as a sports reporter. 
  • Mat Mikesell became sports editor of the Hannibal (Missouri) Courier-Post. 
  • Joshua Needelman took a position covering Clemson sports for The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C. 
  • Gage Nutter accepted a sports reporter position at the Daily Hampshire Gazette in North Hampton, Mass. 
  • Patrick O’Shea joined The Cherokee Tribune in Canton, Ga., as sports editor. He was previously with the Daily Citizen-News. 
  • Mark Podolski became the sports editor for The News-Herald in Willoughby, Ohio. 
  • Josh Preston joined VSN Louisiana to tell the stories of high school athletes. He was previously with NOLA.com/Times-Picayune. 
  • Christopher Price joined The Boston Globe as nighttime web producer. He was previously with Boston Sports Journal. 
  • Jacqueline Rans became a sports reporter at the Kokomo (Indiana) Perspective. 
  • Adam Ripple accepted the sports editor position at the Daily American in Somerset, Pa. 
  • Randy Roberts joined the Crescent-News in Defiance, Ohio, as a sports reporter. 
  • Shayna Rubin became the Oakland Athletics beat reporter for the Bay Area News Group. 
  • Danny Schmidt departed from his sports reporter position at the Marin (California) Independent Journal. 
  • Andrew Schnittker took the sports editor position at the Mountaineer in Waynesville, N.C. 
  • Shaun Scott left his sports reporter position with the Snoqualmie Valley Record, Mercer Island Reporter, Issaquah Reporter and Bellevue Reporter in Kirkland, Wash. 
  • Brian Sieman is moving from the Los Angeles Clippers radio play-by-play to TV play-by-play, according to the Los Angeles Times
  • Evan Silva revealed he’s leaving NBC Sports/Rotoworld as a fantasy writer. 
  • Demetrio Teniente joined The Dallas Morning News as a digital sports producer. He was previously with the Houston Chronicle. 
  • Kyle Turk became a sports reporter at the Grand Haven (Michigan) Tribune. 
  • Tyler Tyre accepted a position covering high school sports for the Victoria (Texas) Advocate. 
  • Donn Walden took the sports editor position at the Lewiston (Idaho) Morning Tribune. He was previously sports copy editor at The Blade in Toledo, Ohio. 
  • Josh Weinreb left his sports reporter position at the Valley News in Lebanon, N.H. 
  • Katherine Wright joined Turner and NCAA as a sports writer. 
  • Ryan Zuke moved to covering Michigan football for MLive. 
  • The Athletic moved Daniel Popper from covering the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Los Angeles Chargers. Phillip Heilman started covering the Jaguars. Sheil Kapadia transitioned from a Philadelphia Eagles beat to national coverage. Zach Berman took over covering the Eagles. Jourdan Rodrigue started covering the Carolina Panthers. Mike Sando became a senior writer for the NFL. Katherine Terrell, previously of ESPN, joined to cover the New Orleans Saints. Jeff Duncan became a columnist for The Athletic New Orleans. Jennifer Armstrong took on the role of managing editor for The Athletic New Orleans and The Athletic Houston.  Kate Hairopoulos announced she joined The Athletic as a staff editor. Travis Haney left his position covering the Tennessee Titans. Joe Buscaglia joined as a Buffalo Bills writer. Jon Machota joined to cover the Dallas Cowboys. Zak Keefer joined to cover the Indianapolis Colts. Matt Schneidman joined to cover the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Fentress joined to cover the Seattle Seahawks. Harman Dayal joined to cover the Vancouver Canucks. 
  • The Athletic College Football added Eric Single as senior editor, Andy Staples as a writer, Peter Baugh to cover Missouri, Aaron Fentress to cover Oregon, Kaelen Jones to cover Texas, Chris Kamrani to cover Texas, Josh Kendall to cover South Carolina, Austin Meek to cover Michigan, Brody Miller to cover LSU, Kelli Stacy to cover Arkansas, Dave Southorn to cover Boise State, and Allan Taylor to cover West Virginia. Meek was previously at The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon. Kate Hairopoulas and Jill Thaw joined as editors. 
  • The Atlanta Journal-Constitution added Sarah K. Spencer to cover the Atlanta Hawks. She was previously with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Chip Towers joined the AJC to cover Georgia athletics. 
  • CBS Sports added Dan Schneier as an NFL editor, and he was previously with 247Sports. Patrik Walker joined CBS Sports as an NFL Writer after covering the Dallas Cowboys for 247Sports. 
  • The Charlotte Observer and Raleigh (North Carolina) News & Observer named Matt Stephens senior sports editor. He was previously at the Denver Post. Mike Persinger moved to work for EveryIncome as director of content. He was previously sports editor of the Charlotte Observer.
  • ESPN added Ben Baby to cover the Cincinnati Bengals, and he left the Dallas Morning News where he covered Texas A&M. Matt Eisenberg joined ESPNW as an editor. Ryan Leaf and Pat McAfee joined ESPN as a college football analyst. 
  • The Indianapolis Star added Stefan Krajisnik to cover Indiana athletics. Zak Keefer left covering the Colts. Mike Williams left the Indy Star to become a sports reporter at the Graham (Texas) Leader. 
  • The Las Vegas Review-Journal added Bill Eichenberger as NFL and colleges editor and Myles Simmons to cover the Raiders. 
  • The Lexington (Kentucky) Herald-Leader put Josh Moore on the Kentucky football beat and put Jared Peck on the high school sports beat. 
  • NBC Sports Bay Area moved Kelenna Azubuike from studio analyst to game color analyst for Golden State Warriors games. Jim Barnett went from TV analyst to radio color analyst for Warriors games.  
  • NBC Sports Washington added Justin Kutcher as Washington Wizards play-by-play voice with Drew Gooden and Caron Butler as color commentators, according to The Washington Post. Kutcher was previously with FOX Sports. Steve Buckhantz was the Wizards play-by-play voice for 22 seasons, but his contract was not renewed. Kara Lawson left as a color commentator to join the Boston Celtics as an assistant coach. 
  • The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette added Alex McCann as an associate digital editor and page designer for the sports section. Mike DeFabo joined the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a Penguins reporter. DeFabo was previously with the Lansing (Michigan) State Journal.
  • The Star Press in Muncie, Ind., saw the departure of Ryan O’Gara as a sports reporter. Jordan Guskey received a promotion to covering Ball State athletes for The Star Press. Robby General joined the staff to cover high school sports.
