The APSE Northwest Region meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 7 at the Oregonian in Portland.
The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Five sessions are already planned:
* Question and answer session with the Associated Press
* Question and answer session with the Oregon School Activities Association, the organization that runs high school sports in the state.
* What to do when the big event comes to town? (Olympic trial, NCAA regionals, skating championships, etc.)
* Most common mistakes that sports editors make
* Covering the preps in the new media age.
Additional sessions and speakers are still being finalized. Looks for more information as the meeting gets closer.
