Boston.com’s Steve Silva was at the finish line when the bombs went off and took the video footage seen around the world. He and Boston.com sports editor Matt Pepin will explain how coverage developed from there on Boston.com, BostonGlobe.com and the Boston Globe.

The game story is (not!) dead – especially for small papers

A look at the game story, how it’s evolved in the past decade and some different ways that sports editors are approaching gamers in this day and age.

— What keeps people interested in following you

— Approach to using Facebook, and how that differs from Twitter.

— How to gain traction with Instagram, Pinterest, etc.

— Aggregating reporter content in social media on your website.
