We are happy to announce the latest sponsors of APSE's Diversity Fellowship Program: the National Association of Black Journalists and the Boston Globe.

NABJ donated $1,500 and the Globe contributed $500 to bring total contributions to $5,000.

They join USA Today Sports Media Group, which donated $1,000; the Association for Women in Sports Media ($750); the Los Angeles News Group ($750); and Michael Wallace (yes, former Diversity Fellow Michael Wallace of ESPN/ESPN.com), who personally gave $500.

We would like to thank the NABJ Sports Task Force, Dave Morgan of USA Today Sports Media Group, Stef Loh of AWSM, Michael Anastasi of LANG, Ellen Clegg of the Boston Globe, and Michael Wallace for their generosity in helping fund the Fellowship Program, which is about to complete it third year.

APSE remains short of its funding goal of $8,000, but it's not too late to contribute.

If you would like to be a sponsor of the APSE Diversity Fellowship Program, please contact outgoing APSE president Tim Stephens at tim.stephens@cbsinteractive.com, incoming APSE president Mike Sherman at msherman@oklahoman.com, APSE executive director Jack Berninger at jackapse@aol.com or myself at jrojas@miamiherald.com.
