After a couple of false starts, we have finally launched our APSE Small-Paper Hangout. These are once-a-month 30-minute sessions with editors and reporters on subjects you’ve asked to learn more about. You can join by phone or laptop, audio or video (the power of Google Hangouts) to listen and ask questions.
Our January Hangout focused on “big story” ideas and then executing them in story, digital, etc., forms.
Our February hangout will occur during the Winter Conference in Orlando, Feb. 24-28. I’ll be reaching out to judges expected to attend and use our list of potential subjects to match up a good session for those who can be in the room, as well as those who are judging from home and can’t make it to Florida.
