Recently you were able to read interviews with this year’s Diversity Fellows, who met for the first time at APSE judging. We were very happy to have them aboard in lovely Lake Buena Vista!

We’re also happy to report that 1) Diversity Weekend — where the Fellows will take part in some (fun) academic training — is set for Indianapolis on April 10-13; and 2) we’re setting up a new tier structure to attract more sponsors for the APSE Diversity Fellowship Program.

The main object is to allow for smaller donations to help cover costs of the Fellowship, which can total up to $8,000 annually.

Thanks to annual contributions from more or less the same organizations, it hasn’t been a big issue the first four years. But it’s also never easy to raise funds in this day and age. Therefore, we are introducing the following tier levels, so that YOU, TOO can be a sponsor.

Platinum — $1500

Diamond — $1000

Gold — $750

Silver — $500

Bronze — $250

Friend of the Program — Anything under between $250 and $50.

So far this term, the Los Angeles News Group (led by Fellowship Program founder and former APSE president Michael Anastasi) is out in front as a Platinum sponsor, followed by The Association for Women in Sports Media at Gold and Sportsmanias.com (with former prez Tim Stephens aboard) at Silver.
