The Great Plains Region meeting returns to Kansas City on April 19-20, hosted by the Kansas City Star.
The meeting kicks off Sunday with a visit to Kauffman Stadium, as the defending American League champion Royals take on Oakland.
Sessions begin at 9 a.m. April 20. A full agenda will be announced soon, but highlights include:
* A survey of 2014 APSE top 10 sections led by Oklahoman sports editor and APSE president Mike Sherman.
* A discussion of best practices for modern beat writers led by Kansas City Star Royals writer Andy McCullough and Kansas City Star Chiefs writer Terez A. Paylor.
* A round table discussion with attending college students.
