The Great Lakes Region’s spring meeting is set for May 4 at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
There is no charge for the meeting, which will include lunch courtesy of Nora Paul, Director of the Minnesota Journalism Center and one of our University of Minnesota hosts.
The agenda includes a beat writing panel that will include Tom Pelissero of USA Today, a visuals panel that will include Regina McCombs of Minnesota Public Radio and Sport Ngin co-founder Carson Kipfer; a student panel moderated by Malcolm Moran, Director of the National Sports Journalism Center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis; a high school coverage panel that will include Star Tribune high schools editor Paul Klauda and Northwest Herald sports editor Jon Styf; and more.
