The first two section mandatory dates for the 2013 APSE Contest are Thursday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, April 14. Those dates were randomly drawn at the summer conference in Detroit in June.
The final Daily and Sunday section mandatory dates will be randomly draw on Dec. 31 and posted on the APSE web site. Information about how to enter the 2013 section and writing contest will be posted next month.
Dues must be paid to be eligible to compete in the annual APSE contest. You can sign up at this link to sign up. The deadline for dues payment in Tuesday, Oct. 15. For more information on dues and how to get a free member when you sign up, go here.
Judging will take place Saturday, March 1 to Wednesday, March 5 on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. If you are interested in judging, contact APSE 1st Vice President Mike Sherman at msherman@oklahoman.com.
Room rates are $139 per night at the Residence Inn (includes breakfast) and $129 at the Courtyard (does not include breakfast). A nearby shuttle runs regularly to the on-campus judging site.
